Functionality will vary from clock to clock. Make sure you can read the buttons and markings clearly on the clock dials and switches. This makes setting the clock easier in cases of low lighting. There should be a large button for the snooze function, at least bigger than the others. And you should be able to turn off the alarm easily when it is no longer needed.
